Working Ethos

For me, planning ahead is a central component of sustainability. Work begins with notes and sketches of ideas before any clay is used.

Any waste clay is always recycled and glazes are made in as small a quantity as I can manage. This prevents any waste of rare and valuable materials and to keep down costs.

Materials

Surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, it is only right that my studio is stocked with only the best materials that haven't had to travel far to get to me.

I ensure that the glazes and other chemicals used on my products are never washed into any waterway.
